A New Beginning: From “Otis Top Shot” to “Otis All Day”
A little more than a year ago, on February 20, 2021, I discovered NBA Top Shot.
I didn’t know it at the time, but that moment would wind up being profoundly life-changing in ways that I couldn’t possibly have foreseen. I became obsessed almost immediately, as the modernized take on my childhood love of trading card collection drew me in deeper and deeper with every minute I spent perusing the marketplace.
I lived in the official NBA Top Shot Discord for those first couple of weeks, which was alive with excitement and chaos. But some time in March, I migrated over to Twitter, and decided to make a burner.
Thus, Otis Top Shot was born.
In the year since then, I’ve tried to build the Otis Top Shot “brand” through positivity, authenticity, and written content. That journey started out with my own personal blog, but really took off when Packrip Ewing approached me to join forces with him and some other amazing community members to launch Packrip Media (now NF3 Media). This is where I was really able to find my voice in the community as I wrote about NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day.
Months later, I joined the incredible content team at MomentRanks, where I had the pleasure of working with even more of the incredibly bright and creative minds that make up this space.
But, all good things must come to an end, and this is the end of Otis Top Shot.
Actually, this is the end of my time as an active collector of Dapper Labs products entirely, at least for the time being — as of today, Tuesday, March 29, 2022, I have officially joined the NFL All Day team as a Community Rep!

If there’s one thing that has kept me involved in this space on a daily basis over the past year, through any ups and downs that have occurred within the space and in my personal life, it’s the incredible community that has risen up around Dapper Labs’ revolutionary sports products.
It’s not always pretty, but this community is easily the most passionate group I’ve ever been a part of, and I have forged genuine, life-long friendships with some special people that I would have otherwise never had the opportunity to meet.
Simply put, NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day have made my life objectively better because of the amazing people I’ve met along my journey as a collector.
I want to play a role in making sure that as many of you, the current userbase, and as many future collectors as possible, have the same incredible experiences that I have had as a member of this amazing community, if not even better.
That I get to work with such an innovative and groundbreaking company while getting the chance to realize a childhood dream — I’ve always wanted to work with the NFL, NBA, or MLB in some capacity, and this surely qualifies — makes this a truly life-changing opportunity that I will take advantage of to the fullest extent.
Thank you all for being on this wild ride with me so far. I am so excited for this next chapter to begin.
